Production process

NLMK Strasbourg is a very experienced steel manufacturer specialized in coated steels.

The main lines of the plant are:

The galvanization line which transforms the full hard coming from La Louvière plant into hot dip galvanized coils. Its maximum production volume is 400,000 tons a year.
The prepainting line : galvanized coils are covered with organic painting systems. The line can produce up to 150,000 tons a year
The slitting line gives the possibility to transform hot dip galvanized and prepainted coils and offers a large range of different widths and weights

These products (hot dip galvanized, prepainted and slitted coils) are destinated to the automotive market, the building and general industry.
