Burak Soydan

Chief Commercial Officer, NLMK Europe Strip

Serving as the Chief Commercial Officer for NLMK Europe Strip, his primary focus is to bolster the company's presence in pivotal markets and products, leveraging the comprehensive investment program in assets, systems, and personnel implemented from 2021 to 2022. His extensive knowledge of the Group, its products, and diverse markets is evident in his strategic approach.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and a Master of Business Finance from Istanbul University, Burak Soydan has amassed over 25 years of experience in managerial roles in Sales and Marketing across finance, automotive, and steel industries.

 In 2010, he joined Erdemir, a Turkish steel company, where he served in various capacities including Head of Technical, Head of long product Sales & Marketing (both local and export markets), and Head of Automotive Sales & Marketing, before assuming the role of General Manager of Turkey's largest Service Center in 2015.

Transitioning to NLMK Group in 2017 as General Manager of NLMK Turkey, Burak Soydan spearheaded the development of the Sales & Marketing department and Logistics organization from inception. Under his leadership, NLMK Turkey emerged as the foremost importer of steel, handling over 2 million tons annually.
