Most NLMK Group companies are compliant with international environmental management standards
Novolipetsk’s environmental management system was awarded ISO 14001:2004 certification in 2002 and passed recertification audits performed by TÜV CERT (Germany) certification authority in 2005, 2008 and 2011. In 2013, Novolipetsk changed its certification body and the 2014 recertification audit was conducted by BSI (British Standards Institution, UK). In 2015, Novolipetsk’s environmental management system passed a compliance audit.
Stoilensky’s environmental management system was awarded ISO 14001:2004 accreditation in 2007 and passed a recertification audit conducted by Det Norske Veritas certification authority in 2010. In 2014 a recertification audit was carried out by BSI, which also performed a surveillance audit in 2015.
In 2011 SOUZSERT (Moscow) awarded ISO 14001:2007 certification to the environmental management system of Dolomit, which passed a recertification audit performed by the same body in May 2014 (certificate issued on 7 May 2014). A compliance audit was performed in 2015.
Stagdok’s environmental management system was awarded ISO 14001:2007 certification in 2011 by the Lipetsk State Technical University certification body, and passed a recertification audit conducted by Moscow-based Techcentre-Register (certificate issued on 17 March 2014). A compliance audit was performed in 2015.
VIZ-Steel was awarded ISO 14001:2007 certification by SGS (Switzerland) in late 2012. A recertification audit was conducted by BSI in 2013 (certificate issued on 7 October 2013). In 2015, VIZ-Steel was awarded a new certificate valid until 14 September 2018.
In 2015, NLMK Russia Long (NLMK Metalware, NSMMZ) completed the development of its environmental management system. BSI, NLMK Group’s single certification authority, successfully completed the certification procedures at these companies and issued certificates of compliance valid until 2018.
Altai-Koks plans to complete the implementation of its environmental management system in 2016.
The new international standard ISO 14001:2015, based on risk assessment methodology, was introduced in 2015. In 2016, NLMK Group companies began developing programmes to implement the new version of the standard.
