Head of Procurement

The plant was called 'Bombardier' in 1989 when I first came to work here as a fitter-welder. During my time here, I have held a number of different roles: I was a supervisor, a team-leader and a procurement service specialist.

Today I am the Head of this service. In fact I started working here, when I was still a school boy, as back then the company representatives would select employees straight from the senior classes at school, and I had to wait a month until my 18th birthday to begin.

When 'Bombardier' was closed down, the company came under control of Duferco and then NLMK Group. We were lucky as we did not end up unemployed. Today, NLMK Manage is well known and held in high regard by our partners in the industry.

The results of the company's work also improved markedly: with our rate of working increasing from 60-70% to 90% and an increased order portfolio. This is the result of the work of our entire team, and I am proud to be a part of it. I have learned a lot from my colleagues, as I have risen from fitter-welder to a management position. We have a friendly atmosphere in the team, with warm relationships. Everyone is willing to come to the aid of their colleagues. Management encourages employees in their desire to take on initiative and stimulates personal development.

I have three sons and one daughter. I will be very proud if one of my sons follows in my footsteps and comes to work at NLMK Manage. Now it is difficult to explain to them exactly what I do, but they know for certain that I enjoy my work.
